Walton County Planning Commission approved the Notice of Proposed Changes to the Sandestin DRI
On a Foggy Cold Winter Morning at 9:am Monday Dec. 19 without the residents that will be most impacted by the overdevelopment, high rises, traffic, and lack of adequate infrastructure and open space. Once again Walton County refuses to protect your hard earned assets ; your homes and investments from the Grinch whose only interest is money, money, money, cram them in, and collect your taxes. Let's see what the Commissioners do with this in January. Maybe they will hold the BcC meeting during a blizzard so no residents can attend. If approved, Sandestin residents will see their neighborhood more crowded than ever, no beach to sit on, no parking, more traffic to contend with, and maybe even more flooding. Panama City Beach here we come. Maybe we could change the name to Panama City; oh wait; it's already taken. Merry Christmas Sandestin. Your new commission could care less.

Still have a question about why the Sandestin DRI includes the land taking in Driftwood, but they no longer own it. Yet they still use it? Maybe my understanding is wrong, but that has been a question I have had for years. But I still can't figure out how Obama Care passed as not a tax, but the court ruled it is a tax, yet they did not revote. Guess what is good for the feds, is good for the locals.
